Goldeneye Gadgets

Repelling Belt

Picture
Over to Q again, “A typical leather belt. Male, size 34. Buckle: Notch.”
All straightforward. Except this one has a 75 foot repelling cord built into the buckle. Press the buckle and hey presto, a grappling hook fires out a high tensile wire that would be sufficient to hold 007’s weight.

Telephone Airbag

Picture
In the background we see a giant inflatable airbag in a telephone box.
This device does leave a few more questions than answers, not least because it is hard to imagine the use of the device, but there you go.
What if the phone box has been vandalised?

X-Ray Tea Tray

Picture
A little more useful is the tea tray that doubles as an x-ray document scanner.
Now, forgive us our scepticism, but it actually looks like a tea tray.
We're not suggesting it should have been lifted up to prove there was Q Branch wizardry underneath, but go on, admit it Q - it was just a tea tray...
