Moonraker Gadgets

CIA Field Kit - Poison Pen

Picture
Not to be outdone, the CIA’s Q Branch have equipped their agent in the field, and Bond usefully takes us on a tour of Holly Goodhead’s gadgetry.
First up, A Poison Pen
This nasty little device provide the unwitting writer with a pen that features a needle shoots out before a yellow leakage occurs. The British agent plays around with the pen to learn its trickery.

CIA Field Kit - Diary Dart

Picture
Fiddle about with the diary a bit and the CIA will reveal their hiding place for fancy poison darts.

.Diaries were a little easier to find. Poison darts are a little unnecessary, so we will skip that feature. The best place for diaries are office supply shops.

CIA Field Kit - Radio Transmitter Handbag

Picture
Okay, the game’s up.
007's suspicions rise throughout the gadgetfest, but once he comes across the Handbag Radio Transmitter, it would be fair to say he has Holly's number.
It’s all standard CIA stuff, and you have to get up earlier than that to fool our James, dear Holly.

.Our attempts to find a modern equivalent to Holly Goodhead's Poison Pen were fruitless, but for over 160 years the store below has been one of the main pen stores in the UK. They may not sell poison versions, but they do sell gold pens of a similar styling.

CIA Field Kit - Flamethrower Perfume

Picture
“A trifle overpowering; your scent.” Says James.
It shoots a flame you see.

0Handbags are apparently a personal preference, a female was consulted and the worldly advice was to visit a major department store to decide on your style preference before shopping around.
We believe Holly's clutch was by Christian Dior.
