Inflatable Ski Jacket

Picture
The afore-mentioned coat in question is a rather stylish grey ski coat.
But of course, with a twist.
The new Q, as it were, mumbles away with a very basic demonstration before Q interrupts him, pulls the tag by the zipper, and watches as it ejects an instantly inflating fully encasing spherical Zorb type unit, that envelopes the wearer.
This amusing aside leads us to the double hankie moment of the film.
007: “You’re not retiring any time soon, are you?”
Q: “Now pay attention 007. I have always tried to teach you two things. First, never let them see you bleed.”
007: “And the second?”
Q: “Always have an escape plan.”
At that point Q presses a button and disappears from whence his successor emerged. The pool table closes over him and we say goodbye to Desmond Llewelyn’s remarkable creation for the last time.

Llewelyn died on 19th December 1999 in a car accident, just a month after the release of the film. Part of his legacy, was one of the silver screen's greatest ever characters.

Inflatable Jackets

Although the very notion of a giant inflatable bubble being accidentally inflated while your in the London Underground is most amusing, you will not see anyone invent a jacket of the type seen in The World Is Not Enough, any time soon. You will however find inflatable jackets on the market.
The principles of the jackets designed by the sportswear company Result, are that you would inflate an internal Gilet (which can be worn separately), which would create a vest as warm as a 12oz down jacket.
