This would be described as an orbital satellite with giant mirrors. The purpose of which is to focus sunshine, and therefore solar power on a small area to aid crop development. Graves’ explanation is a little more velvet, “Icarus is unique. Its miraculous silver skin will inhale the sun’s light and breath it gently upon the earth’s surface.” Now, I don’t want to sound cynical here, but crops? I don’t think so. If there is constant baking sunshine in one place for 24 hours a day, I would suspect it would be full of wrinkly, prune like octogenarians of a colour that would be approximately six shades west of mahogany. A bit like Marbella in Spain.
