Lapel Transmitter

Picture
When your daughter wants to blow you up, you really do know you have lost her respect and love and it might even be time to question your parenting skills.
Elektra King had switched a pretty pin with lapel transmitter on her dearest Daddy’s jacket. The pin looked a little more like a girly broach, but it certainly packed a punch.
The cunning scheme goes like this - When Sir Robert gets close enough to the money has gone to collect, the pin is able to set off an explosive charge hidden in the big pile of cash.

We will leave Tanner to explain it at the debriefing, “The money was dipped in urea. In effect a highly compacted fertiliser compound. Having handled the money, the water on 007’s hands when he touched the ice started a chemical reaction.
“In one of the notes, the metal anti-counterfeiting strip had been replaced with magnesium, which acted as a detonator and King’s lapel pin was switched for a copy which contained a radio transmitter to trigger the blast.
“In other words, he set off the bomb that killed him.”
Yes, it doesn’t sound rather elaborate, but at least the plan had simplicity at its heart. King gets money, King blows up, Mi6 blows up.
Job done.
